Masterful Allen now over Hill

MASTER Mark Allen taught apprentice Aaron Hill a lesson in a huge Irish derby to set up another one with Jordan Brown and then called for a tournament south of the border.

Home hero Allen, 39, sent practice partner Hill packing 4-1 in the last 16 of the Northern Ireland Open. The tournament in Belfast is one of the best supported events on the calendar.

And Antrim's Allen would love to see fans rewarded with another tournament and suggested a return to Goffs, which used to host the Irish Masters.
