Sheikhpura: Cop Faces Action for 'Hitting' Driver of E-rickshaw

An e-rickshaw driver in Bihar's Sheikhpura district was allegedly assaulted and humiliated by a Station House Officer (SHO)-cum-sub-inspector over a road rage incident, prompting the Superintendent of Police (SP) to order an inquiry and suspend the accused officer.
PATNA:
The incident took place at Mehus Chowk, where the victim, Pradyuman Kumar (26), was driving his e-rickshaw towards an undisclosed destination. SHO Praveen Chandra Diwakar, who was riding a motorcycle, allegedly became enraged when Kumar failed to give him way due to road congestion. Diwakar, according to eyewitnesses, repeatedly honked at the e-rickshaw before allegedly assaulting the driver in full public view.
