Mokama ‘murder’: 2 FIRs filed, fear envelopes area

Amid fears of electoral violence returning to the poll landscape of Bihar, tension pervades through Mokama where Dularchand Yadav, 75, a local strongman, was allegedly killed while campaigning for Jan Suraaj candidate. His kin claim that he was shot dead and run over by a vehicle belonging to area’s most notable muscleman and the JD(U) candidate, Anant Singh.
Mokama has been covered with heavy security.

Singh has been named in one FIR filed by Yadav’s kin.
Yadav's body was sent for postmortem by evening on Friday and the autopsy report was to be released after supervision of a medical board.
Mokama is merely 100-km away from capital Patna and is now connected via a four-lane road that makes it only a few hours away.
