MIDFIELDER David Ozoh returns to Derby County feeling refreshed and eager to shake off the “injured” tag which some may associate with him after an unfortunate loan spell last season.

Ozoh: I feel refreshed and fit and ready to prove I can help Rams

And he has revealed that a second stint at Pride Park Stadium was in the pipeline as early as the end of the last campaign.

Ozoh, 20, has rejoined the Rams on a season-long loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace, having made a strong early impression under Paul Warne a little under 12 months ago.

Significant, injuries disrupted his campaign and ended it prematurely. He made only 12 appearances in all competitions and only one under current boss John Eustace.

That said, Eustace left his mark on Ozoh, who returned to Selhurst Park in the summer already keen on the idea of being granted a second opportunity to play regularly in the Championship - and he wanted that to be back with Derby.

"I'm just excited to be back," Ozoh told RamsTV.
