CELTIC managerial candidate Wilfried Nancy insists he prioritises getting his team to play entertaining football over winning games.

- MARK WALKER

And he revealed how he became a top coach after arriving in Canada with nothing but a backpack 19 years ago.

The French boss is reportedly Celtic's No.1 target to replace Brendan Rodgers, with bookies even suspending betting on the Columbus Crew boss getting the job this week.

And in a wide-ranging interview this year, Nancy gave Hoops fans an indication of his footballing philosophy after he arrived in Canada in 2006, before moving into coaching after a semipro career as a player in France.
