Alumex PLC has joined forces with Port City Colombo to expand its flagship sustainability programme Elevate, with its pledge to hand over used beverage can (UBC) collection bins to promote responsible waste management and safeguard the country’s coastal environment.

Alumex-Port City Colombo install used beverage can bins for a cleaner coastline

Alumex will place the bins across Port City Colombo’s public spaces, including the Marina Promenade and beach, encouraging visitors to responsibly dispose of UBC waste.

The valuable partnership was formally announced on November 7 by Alumex Managing Director Pramuk Dediwela and CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt.) Ltd General Manager Investment Promotion and Marketing Tian Zheng.
