WARWICKSHIRE will open the 2026 Rothesay County Championship season on home soil against Surrey

The Bears’ Division One campaign begins at Edgbaston Stadium on Friday April 3 against last term’s runners-up Surrey.

It will be the first of several early-season home red-ball fixtures, with Essex, Glamorgan and Yorkshire also the visitors across April and May.

The County Championship, which remains a two-division structure of 14 matches per team after reform plans were rejected by club chairs in September, will be split into three playing blocks.
