Mercy crews thank 'loyal High Flyers'

SCHEME HITS 400-NAME MARK, WITH 1,200 STILL UP FOR GRABS

MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity is celebrating filling the first of four iconic chevrons on its new helicopter as part of its latest fundraising initiative.

The High Flyers initiative gives supporters of the lifesaving service, which has an airbase in Tatenhill, the chance to have their name or that of a loved one printed on the charity's newest aircraft -a H145 air ambulance helicopter.

With 400 names making up each chevron, the charity is thanking everyone who has supported the campaign so far.

There is space for 1,600 names in total, and with three more chevrons left to fill, supporters are being encouraged to secure their place in history and help keep the charity's helicopters in the sky.
