Bakery raises lots of charity dough!

BIRDS STAFF AND CUSTOMERS HELP COLLECT MORE THAN £66,000 FOR GOOD CAUSES DURING 2023/24

A POPULAR bakery has raised more than £66,000 for charity through a range of activities and customer donations.

Birds Bakery - which has stores in Ashby, Burton, Swadlincote and Uttoxeter - raised an impressive £66,751.48 for charity during the 2023/2024 period.

As the bakery's main charity partner, Cancer Research UK received £56,223.03 of the funds.

The remaining money was raised through various initiatives - including National Doughnut Week for The Children's Trust, Wear it Pink, the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, Air Ambulance, Macmillan, Melbourne Community Care, and Teenage Cancer Trust.
