67,000 speeding penalties issued in county last year

Lancashire Police issued more than 67,000 Fixed Penalty Notices for speeding last year, according to new data.

However, fears of potential vandalism prevented the force from confirming the most common sites of speeding offences.
Police forces around the country were approached by personal injury solicitors' firm Legal Expert to find out how many drivers are endangering others by breaking the speed limit.
While other forces have confirmed the 20 roads where the most offences have been recorded, Lancashire Constabulary refused.
