Local administrations are intensifying efforts to curb the misuse of kratom and other drugs in the southern border provinces, following the launch of the government's “120-day kratom awareness campaign”.

Authorities, community leaders and residents are working together to reduce addiction rates, particularly among young people. Launched on June 1, the campaign targets the southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Satun, along with four districts in Songkhla, covering 688 communities in total.
