Aberg embraces fresh test

Star hopes for better outcome at Masters

Ludvig Aberg stamped himself a rising star with a runner-up finish at the Masters last year, but the Swede said that the superlatives from his major championship debut don't count for little when the tournament begins today.

"I think having those experiences in your back pocket is really nice but come Thursday morning it really is not going to change anything," Aberg said. "You still have to go out and hit the golf shots and hit the putts and do as good as you can."

The 25-year-old from Eslov earned the biggest win of his career in February by capturing the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines.
