If you've ever watched Blue Planet, or any of the David wildlife Attenborough films, you will have gawped in amazement, not only at the incredible creatures, landscapes and natural wonders, but at the tenacity, patience and sheer person hours that have gone into capturing that shot. For every second of film that makes it to our screens, there are hundreds or more like thousands of hours ofunused footage that lies on the cutting room floor (or its digital equivalent).
