In 2020, the Narendra Modi government launched the National Infrastructure Pipeline, aimed at boosting India's infrastructure with a capital outlay of Rs 100 lakh crore by 2025. The 2023 budget gave a huge boost to capital spending by providing Rs 10 lakh crore, a 33 per cent increase from the previous year.
