Inside a New York City courtroom on Dec. 18, Jonathan Majors rose to face the foreperson who would deliver the verdict in his assault and harassment trial in a case with far-reaching implications for the actor's future. After starring in two blockbuster films in early 2023-Creed III and Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania-Majors was arrested on March 25 following a fight with his then-girlfriend, dancer, actor looked up quickly, watching her go through the remaining charges. Ultimately, Majors was also convicted of harassment, a violation falling below a misdemeanor on the legal scales.

Following his conviction, the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg issued a statement saying that prosecutors had proven the actor's "pattern of abuse and coercion," while Priya Chaudhry, one of Majors's lawyers, said the actor "still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name." Clasping the hand of Harlem actress Meagan Good, 42-who after starting up a relationship with him in the months after his arrest, attended his trial daily-Majors solemnly walked out of the courthouse to a waiting SUV later that afternoon.
