I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I have to say, I am a top-notch pedestrian. This will sound crazy — and believe me, I’ve received plenty of unsolicited psychoanalyses on the matter — but I have never driven a car, and I rarely take the subway. Luckily, Boston is small enough and safe enough that I can walk pretty much everywhere, and I always aim for the most scenic route possible.
