TV presenter invests in Ross’s pet meals made from creepy crawlies

Davina intervention saves Scot's insect dog food business

An entrepreneur from a tiny Scots village who was told on Dragons’ Den he was “barking mad” has been given financial backing by TV presenter Davina McCall.

Ross Lamond’s company Bug Bakes produces insect-based dog treats that are an environmentally friendly alternative to meat-based goodies.

But after a deal on the BBC show fell through he was approached by the former Big Brother presenter, who then suggested they meet for breakfast in London – 500 miles away from Ross’s home in Wormit, Fife.
