Highways aside, Indian cities are worse. In our piece on driver less cars, experts have been scratching their heads trying to decipher whether autonomous cars indeed can ever grace our cities, considering the turmoil they would have to deal with. Think cycles, rickshaws, four-legged animals and two-legged mortals — a separate AI would need to be created to deal with this. And, if a gentle bovine decides to take a nap on the road, there is very little an intelligent car can do, except hope for divine intervention!
