City cocktail bar forced to close as costs 'skyrocket'

Leeds city centre has lost another popular independent business as cocktail bar Psilo announces it will be closing its doors owing to the "incredibly tough" economic climate.

Leeds city centre bar Psilo will close at the end of the month.

The New Briggate venue, which labels itself as “an ongoing study of libation and guilty pleasures for your perfect trip”, will have its final day of trading next Friday (November 28), after only three-and-a-half years in business.

Psilo owner Lydia and the team stated that “skyrocketing” costs meant it was no longer “financially feasible to even continue into the new year”.
