Nine school projects making good progress, council is told

AN UPDATE has been given on nine new school projects currently under way in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT).
Cabinet members were recently told about how the schemes are progressing in the county borough with support from the Welsh Government's Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme. In March cabinet endorsed this next tranche of nine school investments as part of a £414m funding commitment over nine years.
The first is the new 3-19 ALN (additional learning needs) school in Clydach Vale and construction of the school is making progress on the former Pavilions site, the council says.
The steel frame of the main building has been installed and the school is on course to be opened in autumn 2026.
