Clubs condemn brawl at stadium

A MASS brawl at what should have been a celebration of local rugby at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester has been condemned by club leaders.
There were ugly scenes during the North Gloucestershire Combination Cup Final between Matson RFC and Longlevens RFC on Sunday.
Footage shared on social media saw pushing, shoving and punches thrown in The Shed. It meant the match was abandoned with Longlevens well ahead and declared the winners.
A statement from Longlevens Rugby Club's committee said: "Longlevens Rugby is deeply disappointed by the events that unfolded during the recent North Gloucestershire Combination Cup Final at Kingsholm, which led to the premature end of what should have been a celebration of grass-roots rugby.
