One Island, One Resort policy to boost tourism

THE Centre is expected to come up with a policy for holistic development of identified, unexplored islands for promotion of sustainable ecotourism soon.
According to tourism ministry officials, the Government is working on the 'One Island, One Resort' concept for Andaman and Nicobar (A&N) islands, Lakshadweep, and Daman and Diu, where it had proposed to create a single resort on an islet.
