LGBTQ+ PUB THE SWALLOW NOW CLOSED
PLYMOUTH’S famous LGBTQ+ put The Swallow has closed - with a special “heartbreaking” message to the city’s gay community.
Bosses at the Bretonside pub took to social media to say the watering hole had shut “with immediate effect”.
Carly Duncan, who took over as manager of the bar in April this year, posted an emotional message thanking customers for their “courage, love and laughter”
She said: “It’s with heartbreaking sadness that we must announce that The Swallow is closing with immediate effect.
“To our beautiful LGBTQ+ family you were never just customers; you were the very heartbeat of this place.
