Eden alleges shady stadium deal

A flurry of allegations has emerged over the redevelopment of the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor, with Hibi Eden, MP for Ernakulam, accusing the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) and a private sponsor of orchestrating questionable financial transactions under the guise of hosting the Argentina national football team.

Eden contends that an agreement between the GCDA and the sponsor, reportedly tied to the stadium's demolition and reconstruction, has been withheld from public scrutiny. Eden has claimed that funds earmarked for bringing the Argentina team were instead used to execute renovation projects at the stadium while lacking transp
