Tryon: our bowling must be better

The Proteas women need to tighten up with the ball, admitted stand-in captain Chloe Tryon, having been shut out of this weekend's final after falling to India in their third straight defeat of the women's ODI tri-series in Colombo yesterday.

India were ruthless with both bat and ball, earning a 23-run victory after the momentum built by the Proteas middle order was disrupted by a delay due to bad light.

Set a hefty target of 338 runs to win, the SA team were led by Annerie Dercksen (right, 81 runs off 80 balls) and Tryon (67 off 43), but they fell short after returning from the delay, restricted to 314/7.
