India, Saudi Arabia seek to deepen economic ties through investment talks

India and Saudi Arabia held the inaugural virtual meeting of the ‘India-Saudi Arabia High Level Task Force’ on investments, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The meeting, cochaired by P.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Energy Minister, focused on exploring diverse investment opportunities in both public and private sectors.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the discussions covered a wide range of sectors, including refining and petrochemicals, new and renewable energy, power, telecommunications, and innovation. The meeting reviewed the progress made by the technical teams of the Task Force and assessed measures to promote twoway investments that would be mutually advantageous.
