ED Attaches Properties Worth Rs 212.85 Crore in Major Goa Land Grabbing and Forgery Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken significant action in a high-profile land grabbing and forgery case by attaching immovable properties worth Rs 212.85 crore located across prime areas in Goa. The move is part of an ongoing investigation into a large-scale conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by an organized criminal syndicate involved in acquiring valuable land through fraudulent means.
The properties were provisionally attached by the ED's Panaji Zonal Office on July 28, 2025. The case revolves around a sophisticated criminal enterprise allegedly led by Rohan Harmalkar and his accomplices. Harmalkar, identified as the key conspirator, was arrested on June 3, 2025, under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. He is currently in judicial custody.
