'Supergran' fulfils wish to visit charity she helped to establish 30 years ago

A FORMER volunteer affectionately nicknamed 'SuperGran' has fulfilled her longstanding wish to revisit the children’s hospice she helped to establish more than 30 years ago.

Eldey, a resident at Kenwith Castle care home, recently returned to Little Bridge House in Barnstaple - the facility she helped create alongside her husband Trevor and late friends Jill and Eddie Farwell. The hospice is operated by Children's Hospice South West and offers support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
After speaking to staff about her desire to visit the hospice one more time, the care home team arranged a special tour for Eldey, Trevor, some fellow residents and extended family.
The visit was guided by Phil Morris, chief executive of Children's Hospice South West.
