RULES SHOULD STILL APPLY TO WHITE HOUSE'S FAVOURITE FOOTBALLER

- patdolan

WHAT an absolute disgrace!

It is simply embarrassing that FIFA have decided not to punish Cristiano Ronaldo properly, in a fair and normal fashion.

Let's go through it.

Cristiano Ronaldo, on the sacred turf of the Aviva Stadium, at the home of Irish football, assaulted that magnificent Irish human being, Dara O'Shea, with a thuggish elbow.

Then he insulted the best supporters in the world with his crying eyes.

He even made a 'diving' gesture, as if Dara O'Shea was 'putting it on'!

After clear video evidence demanded a red card, he insulted the referee and everyone in the ground with his body language — throwing up his arms in disgust, then clapping.

He took an age to leave the field, and before leaving, he approached Irish manager Heimir Hallgrimsson, only to be restrained by teammate Rúben Dias and the coaching staff.

Instead of giving the customary three-match ban for violent conduct, FIFA decided to insult Dara O'Shea, the Irish fans, the FAI, and Irish football itself.
