'Forgive and forget': Pilot amid power tussle with CM Gehlot

Collective leadership is the "only way" forward, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said on Saturday as he hinted at burying the hatchet with Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot ahead of assembly elections later this year.

The conflict between Gehlot and Pilot dates back to December 2018 when both lobbied for the CM's post after the Congress returned to power in Rajasthan. The repeated sniping between the two leaders came to a head again in May this year, when Pilot launched a march to protest apparent inaction against corruption by the Congress government.
In an exclusive interview with PTI, just days after the Congress's crucial election strategy meeting, Pilot said party president Mallikarjun Kharge advised him to "forgive and forget" and move forward. "It was as much an advice as a directive," he said.
