Board of Kotak Bank okays 1:5 stock split

KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK announced on Friday that its board has approved a proposal to split its shares in the ratio of 1:5.
This means every existing share held by investors as on the record date will be divided into five shares.
In a filing, the company said: “Subdivision (split) of 1 existing equity share of the lender having a face value of %5 each, fully paid-up, into five equity shares of the bank having a face value of leach, fully paid-up.”
