Difference of the sexes as marriage ups obesity risk in men, not women

BEING married triples the risk of obesity in men, scientists say.

Both men and women tend to pile on the pounds after getting hitched, with marriage increasing the chance of being overweight by 62% in men and 39% in women, experts found.

But while husbands are 3.2 times more likely to be obese than unmarried men, no such link was found for wives.
