Restraining order for the stalker who harassed 6 women

A SERIAL stalker who harassed six women has been given a restraining order to keep him away from his former partner.

Steven Escott bombarded Clare Tilsed with unwanted messages, emails and gifts after she ended their three-month relationship.

The pair met on dating website Hinge but when he mentioned the police had contacted him about one of his previous relationships she applied for a Clare's Law disclosure on him.

Escott, 48, had a "pattern of stalking" when relationships ended and two women had taken out non-molestation orders against the university sales and accounts manager.

This year he was made the subject of a Stalking Protection Order to protect women from him in the future.

Magistrates heard personal trainer Ms Tilsed was the latest of six women Escott had harassed or stalked over a 19-year period.
