It's my dream to work on an English cannabis farm. I tried to come by boat and will again

AN Albanian claims it is his dream to work on a UK cannabis farm and make a fortune like so many others.

Loku, 25, revealed that after seeing the riches enjoyed by the "London guys" who had recently returned to his Tirana neighbourhood from drug houses he was convinced he should attempt a deadly Channel crossing.

He said: "I see many people who come back from England having earned £200,000 to £500,000.

"They buy a house, start a business and show off in the street - they always have the most beautiful ladies.

"When I see that, I want to do the same thing. I know many people here in Albania who get money from London working that kind of job and they start a business here."

Loku has a friend who has made arrangements for him to work in a London drug farm if he can cross the Channel. He plans to travel next year.

Alp Mehmet, chairman of Migration Watch UK, said: "Albanian drug gangs have dominated the UK crime scene for years. A steady stream of young people are conned and coerced into coming here to make lots of money.

"They could easily be stopped by the French authorities.
