SPAR PETALS PROJECT CONTINUES TO FIGHT PERIOD POVERTY IN THE WESTERN CAPE

The Cape Town leg of the SPAR Women's Challenge series, held in March this year, continued to boost the efforts of two NGO's fighting period poverty in the region.

The Boland Veteran's Cricket Association's [BVCA] Dignity Project received a donation of SPAR Petals sanitary pads for the third year in a row, and this year Against Period Poverty [APP] also received a donation.
BVSA received R100 000 worth of sanitary pads, and APP received R30 000, plus two sanitary pad dispensers to the value of R75 000.
BVCA, comprising mostly male players, are deeply committed to the development of women's cricket and the fundamental right of equal opportunities for girls.
