Hales says sorry for ‘incredibly reckless and foolish' blackface photo

ENGLISH cricket’s racism crisis shows no sign of abating, as Alex Hales apologised for dressing up in “blackface” and ECB chief executive Tom Harrison met county chiefs at the Kia Oval.
Azeem Rafiq, the former England Under-19 captain, rocked the game with revelations of the racism he experienced at Yorkshire, which were laid out in painstaking detail before MPs in Westminster on Tuesday, with some of the game’s biggest names implicated.
The story took a twist yesterday with the emergence of anti-Semitic comments Rafiq himself made to another former player, Ateeq Javid, in 2011. Rafiq promptly apologised.
