The St+Art India Foundation, in collaboration with paint major Asian Paints, has captured some public walls in Bangalore and promises to change the cityscape drastically, one mural at a time

After wowing the Mumbai and New Delhi junta with their stunning street art on everything from giant shipping containers to DDA complexes earlier this year, the St+Art Festival has moved to the south of India and has set up base at Bangalore for a month with the aim of filling its streets with murals, installations, performances, talks and screenings. Yet again, Asian Paints has collaborated with the St+Art India Foundation for this festival which kick-started on 1st October 2016 and will go on till 2nd November 2016.

Twelve Indian (including eight who are Bangalore-based) and four influential international artists will come together to turn some boring concrete exteriors of urban environments into something aesthetically pleasing. St+Art aims to enable artists to listen to and interpret the city by being agents of its transformation and creating conversations around local stories. The Bangalore schedule is being hosted by the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, while artworks will occupy areas like the Majestic City Market, Majestic metro station, MG Road metro station, Cubbon Park, Mantri Mall, Church Street and Indiranagar.
