A Museum For Tiles - Intersekt Showroom, New Delhi

This is a recently completed showroom for tiles, more like a museum for tiles. The concept is different with its bold abstract elevation, dark interiors with the focus just being on tiles. The architect has explored ‘tiles’ to its maximum limit by using it in flooring, ceiling, walls, furniture, artwork and even lighting. With the requirements of the client, came along the passion for their work over three generations in the tile industry. They wanted it showcase tiles as their beloved possessions. So the end result is a beautiful museum cum experience centre where people would spend hours to look, select and know about the kinds of tiles available in today’s market.
