It's called what?' Beth looked totally confused.
'Manifesting,' Poppy replied from across the cafe table. "You use your imagination to picture something you want, then it becomes real.'
Beth spluttered her coffee. 'Just like that? Right now I'm imagining myself on a beach, but when I look out the window all I see is rain.'
'Hear me out. Have you ever been looking for a parking space, pictured it and then, as if by magic, one appears?'
'Never.'
'Well, I have.'
'That's just good luck or coincidence, Poppy.'
'No - I manifested it. Try it with a small thing first, then work up to something bigger. Before you know it, you'll have met the man of your dreams.'
Beth sighed. A few recent dates suggested her dream man was simply that - a dream.
'The universe always provides, Beth. It wants what's best for you but you have to ask it first. I'm currently manifesting a new outfit.'
'That's cheating!' Beth giggled. Just go into a shop and buy it. I don't think you need to bother the universe with that one.
'Yes, but it's got to be the right outfit. I first picture myself wearing it and looking great, then I place my visualisation into a pink bubble and release it up to the universe.'
Beth bit her lip, trying not to laugh.
