When we moved here in 2005 the garden was nothing special. It had raised beds of shrubs on either side of a lawn, a tiled terrace and a bench at the end,’ says Malou.
Ten years later, while renovating the kitchen, Malou and her husband, Jan, began to think about updating the garden. With their children now grown, Malou wanted to use the space differently. She had switched careers from banking to interior design and had set up a business, MiP Design, so she had more ideas about how the garden should look.
Malou got in touch with garden designer Edward Davies, who said that he could do the landscaping, and recommended Alladio Sims Garden Landscape Design for the design. ‘I looked at their website and they had the style I was looking for so I contacted them,’ she says.
