This figure encompasses the cost of coaching, equipment, travel, and participation in tournaments, among other expenses. According to renowned badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, the path to professional sports is one that only the wealthy can afford to tread. Despite this daunting reality, there are always those parents who, driven by sheer determination and love for their children, go to extraordinary lengths to support their aspirations. Even when their financial situation is not robust, these parents dare to dream big and work tirelessly to ensure their children have the opportunity to shine on the global sports stage.

Among such inspiring families are Jitendra Singh Yadav and his wife, Manisha Devi, who hail from the village of Wazirabad in Haryana. They have earned immense respect not only in their community but also at the international level, thanks to the achievements of their three daughters, Priya, Geeta, and Ritu. These young women, aged 25, 24, and 21 respectively, have pursued careers in the sport of Taekwondo and have established themselves as world-class athletes. The siblings have collectively amassed more than 20 medals at international competitions and an impressive 35 medals at the national level. Their unwavering dedication and exceptional performances over the years have positioned them as strong contenders to secure medals at the forthcoming Asian Games, scheduled to take place next year.
