Yorkshire Evening Post

November 18, 2025

West Yorkshire Police officers have knocked on the doors of 12 young people as part of a crackdown on crime and antisocial behaviour in Leeds - vowing “we will protect our communities”.

- by Laura Collins

Officers attached to the Temple Newsam and Halton Neighbourhood Policing Team have seized what they describe as significant quantities of Class A and B drugs, recovered stolen goods and seized vehicles as part of the crackdown.

They have also been conducting proactive operations, misuse of drugs warrants, high visibility hot-spot and enforcement patrols, and engagements across the ward to address the police, public and retail local priorities in the ward over the last week.

And as part of their efforts, 12 young people have been identified and visited at their home addresses to crackdown on antisocial behaviour.
