A MAN has been jailed after launching a vicious attack on another man on a night out in Cardiff city centre.

Man is jailed after punch dislodged reveller's jaw

Mathew Evans, 22, of Kenwood Road, Ely, was on a night out with friends in April when he got into an altercation with another group of friends in Queen Street.

He launched a brutal attack on one of the group members, unprovoked, leaving the 19-year-old man's mouth pouring blood.

Prosecutor Charles Archer told Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday that Evans punched a teenager walking along Queen Street to the face, causing the victim's jaw to dislodge and leaving his mouth “drooling blood.”

He was then caught on CCTV demonstrating the punch to his friends.
