GPS warning over military tests

Western Mail

|

June 19, 2025

DRIVERS, pilots and drone operators are being advised that electronic weapons testing taking place at a military range in Wales may interfere with GPS and other navigation systems.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is conducting radio frequency-jamming operations targeting drone navigation systems within a five-kilometre radius of the Sennybridge Training Area in Powys.

The activity is scheduled daily between 8am and 5pm this week and may cause disruption to devices that rely on GPS signals.
