Drink-driver told police that he was 12 years old

Rory Butler, 37, had been out for food with his partner on August 23 but an argument broke out when they returned to her home.

Matters escalated to the point the defendant was asked to leave.

A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday heard that when his partner went into her garden, Butler took her silver Volkswagen Golf and left the address.

At 10.30pm, police received a phone call about the defendant's erratic driving in Briton Ferry.
