Cobbler all smiles as repair services in demand again

After taking a hit during the Covid-19 pandemic, the owner of Leather Works Far East Plaza is all smiles again, with his services back in demand as workers head back to their workplaces.

Over the past week, he has seen a 10 per cent increase in business after the authorities announced that all workers can return to the workplace from last Tuesday.

Mr Ng, who repairs footwear ranging from casual ones to leather shoes for men and women, said he has seen more customers wanting work done on their shoes, with some asking for the entire soles of their shoes to be replaced.
