Budget Session of Parliament From Friday, Govt Convenes All-Party Meet

Ahead of the commencement of the Budget session of the Parliament, an all-party meeting was held here on Thursday during which the Government appealed to all political parties to contribute through positive participation with high-quality debates and discussions during the session.
The Budget session of Parliament will begin on 31 January and, according to schedule, the session will conclude on 4 April. President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament on Friday. After the President's address, the Economic Survey will be presented.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on 1 February (Saturday).
Parliament will have an inter-session break from 14 February, and the two Houses will resume their sittings on 10 March.
The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 is likely to be presented during the Budget Session of the Parliament.
