These days, it has become common to express opinions bluntly, often using outdoor voices and ignoring opposing views.

This trend is especially visible in the West, where many young people feel pressured to "run with the crowd" and pretend to agree even when they don't, dismissing more balanced perspectives. While political correctness has long existed, it can sometimes go too far, as it did in the 1960s and 1970s, especially with the left and far-left. Today, however, it is more often the right and far-right who dictate what is acceptable - opposing high immigration, advocating stricter law-and-order policies with more police and harsher prison sentences, and calling for reduced taxes and lower social benefits. These topics may deserve attention, but the proposed solutions often reflect populist rhetoric more than thoughtful analysis.
