The exams in Jammu and Kashmir will be held from May 26, announced University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof M. Jagadesh Kumar. The step was taken following demands by the students that they have to travel to another state to take the exam.
Earlier, the NTA had announced that exams in Manipur have been deferred to May 29 in view of the law and order situation.
