Despite stiff opposition by PMK founder S Ramadoss, his son and party leader Anbumani Ramadoss went ahead with the second day of his 100-day padayatra, without any major hiccups, from Chengalpattu on Saturday.

The yatra, which began near the Chengalpattu Government Hospital, proceeded up to Rattinam Kinaru, where Anbumani addressed a public gathering.

"I have not come here to seek votes, but to tell you who should not return to power. The DMK government has failed Tamil Nadu," he told the gathering.
